Grain Cleaning Purposes
SynopsisGrain cleaning has three purposes.
Grain Cleaning PurposesWhat are the grain cleaning purposes? We will introduce about this from the three aspects below:
1. To protect grain processing equipment to work normally by grain cleaning. Unprocessed grains always contain some hard impurities, such as stones and metal. In grain processing, the hard impurities may easily damage the grain processing equipment, affect the technological effect and increase maintenance cost, or even cause fire disaster or dust explosion. Besides, if there has impurities with large volume, it may easily block the feeding port, make the feeding quantity reduce or uneven, reduce the technological effect of grain processing equipment and affect processing performance. Sometimes, the soft impurities, such as rope, scraps of paper, may also easily twine or block the grain processing equipment. If he dust in the unprocessed grains flies out, it will cause pollution and damage the production environment. To protect normal processing, we should clean these impurities by grain cleaning.
2. To ensure products quality by GRAIN CLEANING. If the grain impurities are not removed, they will be mixed into the end products and reduce end products purity. For example, if dust is mixed into wheat flour, it will make the wheat flour sand content increase, and the flour color dark. This directly affects products quality, wheat flour products edible value and our health.
3. To protect the production environment and workers’ health by grain cleaning. Grains always contain some light impurities and dust, and there will generate more dust in processing, so if we don’t clean grains, the dust will fly over in the workshop which can pollute workshop environment and damage workers’ health.
From the above analysis about grain cleaning purposes, we know that it is important to clean grains before grain processing.
